For boys and girls aged 8 to 10 ½.
The Cub Pack is the second section of the Scout Group following on from Beavers.
Our Cub Scout Pack meets on Mondays between 6:30 and 8pm at Sparkford Village Hall, and we also spend a lot of time out and about, especially during the summer months.
For Cubs, excitement and adventure are key. Our programme offers a huge variety of activities surrounding different areas of development for Cubs: They are introduced to exciting Outdoor skills and take part in Adventurous activities; we work on Fitness, Global awareness and Beliefs; whilst allowing Cubs to be Creative and get involved in their local Communities.
Many of these activities will help Cubs earn Activity badges, and during their time in the Pack they will be working towards the highest award they can achieve: The Chief Scouts Silver Award.
A Cub Pack is usually organised into small groups called Sixes, each headed up by an older Cub called a Sixer, usually with a Seconder as well. Cubs may often take part in activities with their six, or it may provide a ‘home’ area for Cub Scouts to gather.
Throughout the year we have a programme of Camps and trips, these will be some of the most memorable events of the year for Cubs!
If your child would like to join us, or you’ve got an interest in helping us out, then please get in touch – we’d love to hear from you!
